Maxine Elizabeth Friedman Baltzer

Maxine Elizabeth Friedman Baltzer, 92, of Owensboro died Monday, April 8, 2002, at her home. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on November 11, 1909 the daughter of John and Estelle Vowell Friedman, Sr. Her husband, George W. Baltzer, preceded her in death on April 16, 1986.

Mrs. Baltzer was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past member of Owensboro Younger Womens Club, Girl Scout Council, Owensboro Garden Club, League of Women Voters and the Parent-Teacher Association. She was a graduate of Stephens College and the Allen Sandlin Laboratory School of Medical Technologists in Louisville.

Survivors include a daughter Janice Baltzer Johnson of Decatur, Georgia and three granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro, officiated by Dr. Thomas Cheatham. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home.
