Max O. Timmel, 58, of Owensboro, formerly of Evansville, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his home, following a brief illness. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Robert and Lois Lindsey Timmel.
Max had worked for Big Rivers Electric, Whirlpool Corporation and most recently, Owensboro Transit System. He was a creative "jack of all trades" who took a can do approach to a variety of tasks, including car repair and things around the house. Max also enjoyed fishing and sports, especially Indianapolis Colts Football, baseball and basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eric Ryan Timmel; sisters, Rebecca Bruner and Lisa Porter; and brothers, Paul and Lee Timmel.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Elaine Greer Timmel; a daughter, Andrea Timmel of Owensboro; niece, Kayla Timmel of Chandler, IN; nephews, Austin Timmel of Evansville, IN and Joey Timmel of Chandler, IN; aunts; and uncles.
Per his wishes, no visitation will be held. A memorial service is pending.
