Maurice Allan Lovan, 68, of 1329 Center Street, Owensboro, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 17, 1935 in Providence, Kentucky to Pearl and Ida Mayes Lovan. Mr. Lovan was a counselor for New Horizons and an Army veteran. He had attended Indiana University. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and a long term member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is survived by two brothers; Paul Wayne Lovan and William Carroll Lovan, of Clay, Kentucky; two sisters, Barbara Hardeman of Providence, Kentucky and Lillian Stewart of Moab, Utah; a nephew, James L. Lovan of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and his caretakers, Samuel Faulkner and David Matthews both of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 18, 2004, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 P.M. Thursday, and after 10:00 A.M. Friday. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to New Horizons, 320 Clay Street, Owensboro, Ky. 42303.
