Maureen Drake

Maureen Joan "Momma Duck" Drake, 79, of Owensboro died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in London, England and found her greatest joy in raising her children and cooking incredible family meals. She was an amazing mother not just to her children but to everyone. Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Drake and her son-in-law, Neal Branch.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Boggs and her husband Clark of Philpot, David Drake, Mark Drake, Gail Branch and Donna Conley and her husband Chris all of Owensboro; brother, Eric Clifton of England; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be private in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky and the Kentucky Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers.
