Mary Ivolou "Ivy" Ward

Mary Ivolou "Ivy" Ward, 69, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was born March 1, 1947 in Owensboro, KY to the late Norbert and Martine O`Bryan Ward. Ivy was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and loved gardening flowers. She taught secondary French and Spanish for many years and loved animals. Surviving relatives include three sons, Makoto (Jennifer Eastridge) Omoto, Indianapolis, IN, Takeshi (Emily) Koyagi and Shingo (Yuka) Omoto, both of Lexington; a sister, Ursula Ward and four grandchildren, Maxwell Koyagi, Samson Koyagi, Alice Koyagi and Rick Omoto. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 13, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary of The Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday with prayers at 5:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
