Mary Ethyl Tichenor

Mary Ethyl Tichenor, 89, of 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2005 at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Leo Athanatisus & Helena Calhoun Powell. She was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church and loved quilting. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrle Lambert & Laurita Lambert.

Surviving are five sons and their spouses, Joseph Edward & Barbara Tichenor of Owensboro, Gene & Oknam Tichenor of Odenton, Md., William T. & Kathy Tichenor of Indianapolis, In., James Anthony & Brenda Tichenor and Thomas A. & Denise Tichenor, all of Atlanta, Ga., two daughters, Virginia Fulkerson & Patricia Ann Unversaw, both of Tampa, Fl., two brothers, Earl Powell & James Powell, both of Owensboro, and a sister, Betty Mattingly of Owensboro, 15 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with burial following in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:30 P.M.Monday at the funeral home.
