Mary C. Terry

Mary C. Terry, 74, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born September 10, 1940 in Daviess Co., to the late Jess and Virgie Coomes Gilmore. She was a retired Certified Nurse's Assistant having worked at Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital and Owensboro Medical Health System. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and had participated in the Perpetual Adoration at the Carmel Home. She was a great seamstress, enjoyed flower gardening, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Clark in 1991, a granddaughter, Kendra Clark in 1996, a sister, Ann Corky Gilmore, and three brothers, Thurman, Edward, and Dennis Gilmore.

Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Clark and husband Keith and Lisa Terry (Jeff Renshaw), all of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Joshua (Bailey) Bennett, Olivia (Jacob) Gerteisen, Jacob (Brooke) Bennett, Parker Clark, and Gabriella Clark, all of Owensboro, four great grandchildren, Allie, Aubrey, and Kailey Gerteisen, Hayden Bennett, and soon to be great granddaughter, Madelyn Bennett, a sister, Jeanene Terry of Owensboro, and two brothers, Gene Gilmore of Knottsville and Eldon Gilmore of Owensboro.

Services will be 12 Noon Monday, August 31, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday with prayers at 5:30 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
