Mary Ann Calloway Straney

Mary Ann Calloway Straney, 40, of 1539 W. 2nd. St., Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006 at her home. She was born in Cook Co., Il., and was a registered nurse. She was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College with a nursing degree. She enjoyed music and ceramics. She was of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Faye Calloway in 2005.

Surviving is her husband of 14 years, William Hugh Hawk Straney, two sons, Christopher Eugene Conkright and James Charles Straney, her stepfather, Hubert E. Calloway, Sr., three stepbrothers, Hubert Eugene Calloway, Jr., Michael Kevin Calloway, and Brian Lee Calloway, and several stepsisters.

Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 20, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
