Mary Ann Stephan

January 4, 1934 — November 4, 2005

Mary Ann Stephan, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully after a long-standing illness on Friday, Nov. 4, 2005. Ann was born in Canton, Ohio, on Jan. 4, 1934, and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She had been living in Plymouth, Minn., for the last 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Jerry Kestel.

She is survived by her husband, Charles A. ''Chuck'' Stephan, to whom she was married for more than 49 years; and six children, Charles (Colleen) Stephan Jr. of Sycamore, Ill., Pat (Don Adams) Howard of Philpot, Carolyn (Jeff) Wells of Henderson, Nev., William (Cherri) Stephan of Farmington, Minn., David (Susan) Stephan of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Meg (Michael) Bode of Bloomington, Minn. She had 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Samantha) Howard and their daughter, Madison, Jennifer (Jeremy) Vandiver and their sons, Hunter and Cole, and Jordawn Howard, all of Owensboro. She is also survived by her siblings, David Kestel and Nancy Elstun, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ann will be forever remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She will live on in our hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Gearty-Dalmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. North, Plymouth, Minn., 55448. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, with a viewing before from 10:30 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at Glenn Funeral Home.
