Mary Mabel Slaven
July 27, 1912 — April 21, 2001
Mrs. Mary Mabel Slaven, 88, of 2001 Sunset Dr., Owensboro, died Saturday, April 21, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The West Louisville native was a homemaker and member of the Immaculate Catholic Church. She enjoyed working with flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Slaven in 1977 and a son, Joe Slaven, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Slaven and Gary P. Slaven both of Owensboro; a daughter, Kathi D. Roach of Owensboro; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Tuesday, April 24,2001, 1 P.M. at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday, April 23, 2001 and after 9 A.M., Tuesday, April 24.
