Mary Robinson Shourds

Mary Robinson Shourds, 78, of Owensboro died Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Redbanks Nursing Center in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born December 16, 1928 in Ohio County, Kentucky, and a daughter of the late Fred and Okla Hendrix Robinson.

Mrs. Robinson retired from the former Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital, where she had been a cook. Her vocation was her avocation, as she enjoyed cooking for others.

Her daughter, Anna Shourds of Owensboro and her sister, Nora Christine Grant of Fordsville, survive her.

Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 1 PM until 6 PM Sunday and after 9 AM Monday. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Rex Payton, will be at 11 AM Monday in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery following services.
