Mary Elizabeth Scott

Mary F. Scott, 94, of Owensboro, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1919 to the late Charles and Lillian Reasor Freer. A native of Union Co., Ky, she lived in Grand Rivers for 40 years before moving to Owensboro in 1991 to be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hawley Knoth and Ellis Scott, a daughter, Bobbie Lockhart, and two grandchildren, Cindy Dwelle and Greg Underwood.

She was an avid gardener and quilter and had a passion for yard sales where she purchased items to be donated to the Help Office.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Simpson of Owensboro, a great granddaughter, Sarah Espino of Los Angeles, CA, and Bud Dwelle, (husband of the late Cindy Dwelle), of Lexington, VA. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Jack Freer, Allen Freer, and Dorothy Willett, all of Union Co., and a sister-in-law, Sybil Knoth of Kuttawa.

There will be no visitation or services. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
