Mary Ann "Mimi" Schroader

Mary Ann “Mimi” Schroader, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 12, 1958, in Daviess County, to the late Oscar Ray Pierce and Betty Ann Barnett Pierce.

Mary loved working in her garden, going fishing, and working on the farm with her husband, Calvin, and she also enjoyed traveling with him on vacation, and loved spending time with her dogs. She retired from the Wendell Foster Center where she was a caregiver, Mary Ann was also a caregiver to her family members and many other friends.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her nieces and nephews and was given the name “Mimi” by her nephew, Jackson. She was truly loved by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Schroader; and a brother, Oscar Lee Pierce.

Mary Ann is survived by her sisters, Barbara Pierce and Nola Pierce; a brother, Kenny (April) Pierce; nieces and nephews, Caitlin and Joseph Panis, Summer Taylor, Jelaine Massingill, Tyler Pierce, and Jackson Pierce; also, two great-nephews, Creek Taylor and Cayde Burns.

Services will be private.
