Mary Kareen Schadler, 61, of 6335 Ky Highway 500, Curdsville, died Sunday, March 17, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a homemaker and had worked at W.T. Grants for 7 years. She was a member of St Stephen Cathedral where she attended the prayer group on Tuesday. She was a long time volunteer for the 4-H of Daviess County and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gene F. Schadler, Sr., two sons, Gene F. Schadler, Jr. of Evansville and George A. Schadler of Curdsville; four daughters, Rosanna C. Vessels and Kareen Elisa Pitmon of Louisville, Marianna L. Romero of Paducah and Cynthia K. Schadler of Owensboro; six grandchildren; four brothers, Gerald Head of Sorgho, Bill Head of Owensboro, Bob ''Flabby'' Head of Jacksonville, Fl, and John Head of Wauseon, OH; two sisters, Louise Bonham of Mt Pleasant, TX and Cecilia Clouse of St Joseph.
Funeral services are 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2002 at St Stephen Cathedral with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday. Prayers will be said at 6 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
