Mary Victor Rogers

February 3, 1921 — June 15, 2005

Sister Mary Victor Rogers, 84, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System, in her 66th year of religious life. She was a native of St. Thomas in Nelson County.

She was a music and classroom teacher for 50 years. She taught at St. Mary Magdalene School, Sorgho (1948-49), Blessed Mother (1952-54), Sts. Joseph and Paul (1957-58), and Immaculate (1964-68) schools in Owensboro, at St. Paul, Leitchfield (1941-44), and in many other schools in Kentucky and Missouri. From 1985-92, she was the director of the Suzuki violin program at Brescia College. She was director of the Museum at Mount Saint Joseph from 1992 until her retirement in 2003.

Survivors nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Thursday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.

Glenn Funeral Home, Owensboro, is in charge of arrangements.
