Mary Virginia Dillehay Rodgers, 87, of Orlando, FL (formerly of Owensboro), passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007 in Orlando. Born August 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lewis Dillehay and Ermile Margarete Wallace Dillehay and was a member of the Woodhaven Baptist Church in Orlando. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Boswell Rodgers in 2000; two sons James Lee Rodgers and David Earl Rodgers; a granddaughter, Leigh Ann Rodgers Reid; and six brothers.
She is survived by a son, Charles Allen Rodgers of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Marilyn Smith of Windermere, FL and Barbara Jean (and Don) Joyce of Bloomington, IL; a daughter-in-law, Connie Rodgers of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth (and Bill) Shelton of Wichita, KS and Naomi (and Zeke) Sickler of Lexington.
Services are 2:30 P.M. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home, (900 Old Hartford Rd., Owensboro, KY 42303) with Rev. Weston Dillehay officiating followed by burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
