Mary Dorothy Roberts

Dorothy Millay Roberts, 80, of 6251 Boston Laffoon Rd, Philpot died Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a homemaker and member of the St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church; Legion of Mary and Right to Life. She enjoyed spending time praying, reading, with her family, and listening to Blue Grass music.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Roberts in 1995 and a son, James Norman Roberts in 1986.

She is survived by four sons, Gary Roberts of Whitesville, Dane Roberts of Philpot, Marion Roberts of Maceo and David Roberts of Hawesville; seven daughters, Patsy Robbins and Nancy Bowlds of Hawesville, Marty Mitchell of Hartford, Mary Turner of Mansfield TX , Maria Bickett and June Howard of Whitesville and Mony Morris of Philpot;
36 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Millay, Ronnie Millay and Donnie Millay all of Owensboro; and two sisters, Flo Mattingly and Kathleen Clark of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 2 P.M., Monday, March 4, 2002 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church with burial in St William Cemetery in Knottsville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2002 and from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, March 4. Legion of Mary prayers will be said at 6 P.M. on Sunday and parrish prayers at 7 P.M. on Sunday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Right to Life Organization.
