Mary Nettie Prindle

Mary Nettie Prindle, age 100, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 in Fort Myers Florida. She was born May 30, 1912 in Charleston West Virginia to the late Paul and Carrie Stiff. She was known to all as a strong woman, living through the Great Depression. She was fondly known for her wit.

Aside from her loving parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jacob C. Prindle, a son; James C. Prindle, a daughter; Dorothy Fulkerson, two grandchildren; Gary Young, James "Bud" Prindle, two sisters; Florence Stiff and Sarah Gidcumb.

She is survived by 5 loving daughters; Betty Anderson (Harold) of Owensboro, Jane Young (Robert, Dec'd) of Owensboro, Martha Goetz (Bill) of Owensboro, Charlotte Rafferty (Everett) of Ft Myers, Florida and Marilyn Rishel (Ted) of Long Beach, Mississippi. She is also survived by a sister Virginia Bartlett of Owensboro along with 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren,10 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Jeff Hendricks officiating services. Interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until the time of service on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Childrens Hospital Remembrance Fund.
