Mary Pinkston, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at her home. She was born on August 17, 1933 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Felix and Unis Edgell Goins. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going on car trips, raising flowers, and loved her pets. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Pinkston, Sr. on March 2, 2001, and two daughters, Patsy Gail Jones and Debbie Logsdon, and a sister Ruby.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Beverly) Goins, Sr. of Evansville, IN and Orville Ray (Teresa) Crowe of Owensboro, a stepson, Charles Pinkston of Owensboro, five daughters, Mary Lee (Matthew) Gray of Roseville, Holly Carol Runkle of Frankfort, Linda Fay Brown, Beverly Brown, and Rita (Roger) Rice, all of Owensboro, 21 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, three sisters, Margaret Knight of Evansville, Florence Chappell of Panther, and Janet Pence of Utica, and three brothers, Buddy White and Jimmy White, both of Evansville, and Junior Pate of Owensboro.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
