Mary Doris Pierce

Mary "Doris" Pierce, 68 of Owensboro passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Signature Health Care. She was born December 7, 1949 to the late Boyd and Louise Stites. Mary was a member of Old Panther Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, making color felt posters, and playing Yatzee.
She was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Pearl Filback and Helen Westerfield; her 3 brothers, Russell, Roy, and Truman Stites.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Byron Pierce of Owensboro; her daughter, Nicole Pierce Laroche of Owensboro; her son, Jeff Pierce of Owensboro; her brother, Homer Stites of Owensboro; her grandchild, Kimberly Pierce; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her pet chihuahua, Brandy
The service will be 10AM Wednesday, November 27, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Brother Larry Blair will officiate. The burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery. The visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday and 9AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
