Mary Hildred Offerman, 70 of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 3, 1937 in Ft. Collins, Colo. to the late Richard T. and Josephine Callicrate Hildred. She retired as a nurse from Mercy Hospital and volunteered at the McCauley Clinic at the Daniel Pitino Shelter. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral. She enjoyed woodcarving, painting, spending time with her family, especially with her two grandsons, her wide circle of friends, and her volunteer workers.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joe Offerman, her four children, Mark Offerman of Frankfort, Barbara Offerman, Andy Offerman and his wife Shannon, all of Owensboro, Joellen Offerman of Covington, and two grandsons, Richard Miller and Ryan Offerman, both of Owensboro, brothers, Bill Hildred and his wife Irene of Oklahoma and Jim Hildred of Colorado, and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 24, at St. Stephen Cathedral. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the McCauley Clinic, c/o the Daniel Pitino Shelter, 501 Walnut St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
