Sister Mary Albert OBryan, 79, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 41st year of religious life. She was a native of St. Francis, Ky.
Sister Mary Albert was principal and teacher at St. Mary Magdalene School, Sorgho (1969-73), teacher at St. Romuald High School (1973-76) and Elementary School (principal 1976-77) in Hardinsburg. She also taught in the Archdiocese of Louisville and in Nebraska. From 1992-95, she was outreach minister at Mercy Hospital, Owensboro. She served in many areas at the Motherhouse at Mount Saint Joseph, including food service and business office, and as director of transportation and assistant local coordinator. She was receptionist for Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center from 1999 until her retirement in January 2003.
She is survived by the members of her religious community.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Friday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.
