Mary Maude Moore

Mary Maude Moore, 64, of 1620 Mayo Ave., Owensboro, passed away on Monday Sept. 25, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late L. G. & Carrie Alberta Mercer Moore. She was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church and was retired from Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital after 34 years as a registered nurse. She graduated from the Barnes Hospital Nursing Program in St. Louis and began nursing at Mercy Hospital before moving to Owensboro-Daviess Co. where she was a floor nursing supervisor for most of her career. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Mike Moore, Elgie Don Moore, and Leamon Moore who passed away on Feb. 14, 1998.

Surviving is her foster son, Jeff (Melissa) Sheriff of Owensboro, two foster grandchildren, Carrie Beth & Cali Brooke Sheriff, both of Owensboro, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Moore of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:30 P.M. Friday, Sept. 29 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with entombment following in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
