Mary Jewell Mitchell

Mary Jewell Mitchell, of 2026 Frederica Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the age of 93. A native of Daviess County, she was the daughter of George and Dona Fulkerson Myles.She was a retired school teacher for the Owensboro Public School System after 30 years.She was a member and former choir director at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, member of Owensboro Saturday Musical, and the Daviess County Teacher's Association.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, William Donald '' Don'' Mitchell on February 1, 1994.She is survived by a nephew, Charles G. Mitchell of Charlottsville, Virginia,four grandnieces and nephews, Mark T. Mitchell, Marie Mitchell, Rebecca Nicholl,and Michael C. Mitchell,a sister-in-law, Marie Franklin Mitchell of Tell City, Indiana, and her cousins, Ed Tabor, Tom Tabor, Gwendolyn Robinson, Martha Threlkeld, and Janet McCarty, all of Owensboro.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mitchell will be held on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 1 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2003. Memorial Contributions may take the form of donations to Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, 202 East Fourth Street, Owensboro, Kentucky 42303.
