Mary Lucy Mattingly

Sister Mary Lucy Mattingly, 94, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 78th year of religious life.

The Loretto, KY, native ministered at St. Peter of Alcantara, Stanley, Blessed Mother, Owensboro, St. William, Knottsville, Immaculate Conception, Hawesville, and St. Martin, Rome. She also served in Earlington and Central City in the Archdiocese of Louisville, and in Nebraska. She retired to teh Motherhouse in 1981.

Survivors include a brother, Joseph C. Mattingly of Fern Creek, nieces and nephews, and the members of her reigious community.

The funeral is at 3 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at the Mount Saint Joseph Chapel, with burial in the Convent Cemetery. A wake service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the chapel, where visitation will begin at 4 P.M.
