Mary "Martha" Crowe Zoglmann

December 18, 1933 — June 23, 2019

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Heaven welcomed their newest member, Mary "Martha" Crowe Zoglmann, who passed away while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky and peacefully left this world behind. She was born December 18, 1933 in Daviess County, to the late Joseph and Martha Barr Crowe. Martha was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she was involved in preparing and serving funeral meals, cleaning the church, helping with the flower gardens, serving as picnic booth captain for many years, as well as numerous other committees. She enjoyed spending time with both her family and her church family, serving the Lord's needs. Martha was an active member of Right to Life of Owensboro and loved to fight for "the babies." She made many annual trips to Washington, DC to walk in the Right to Life walk. Her family will remember her as the backbone of their family; as her faith, love, and commitment to them saw them through many trying years.

Martha was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister; and numerous in-laws.

Mourning her passing is her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Zoglmann; her sons, Wayne (Susan), Chuck (Lisa), all of Lewisport, David (Judy) of Whitesville, Steve (Lori), John (Christel), of Philpot, and Den, of Owensboro; daughters, Brenda (and her late husband, Melvin) Thomas and Rebecca (Gene) Krampe, of Maceo; 23 grandchildren, Margie (Aaron), Joe, Tim (Brittany), Eric, Kelly (Brandon), Kate, Gene (Lacy), Bill, Bryan (Leslie), Jonathan, Justin, Emily, Allison, Tyler, Megan, Jake, Nick (Sara), Casey, Lucas, Bayly, Madison (Jessie), Neal, and Eli;step-grandchildren, Jerrod (Sara) Beyke and Anthony Thomson; numerous great-grandchildren, with more on the way; and brothers, Paul (Theresa) Crowe, of Knottsville, and George (Norma) Crowe, of Columbia City, IN.

The funeral mass will be 10am Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2pm until 8pm Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with prayers at 7pm, and from 9am until 10am Thursday morning at the church.

The family asks that Martha be remembered in Mass donations; and donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky; 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.

The family would also like to give a special "thank you" to the staff and volunteers at the Heartford House for the care and devotion to their loved one during her time with you.
