Mary Helen Mahlinger, 88, of 1530 Bosley Road, Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born February 20, 1916 to the late Ernest and Mildred Turner Gough, in Daviess County. She was a life long member of Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Owensboro Womans Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Charles Mahlinger, Sr., who died January 7, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Charles and his wife, Heather Mahlinger of Owensboro; two daughters, Barbara Logsdon of Owensboro, and Luanne and her husband, Jim Mitchell of Barbourville, KY; seven grandchildren, James Gregory Mitchell, Marianna Mitchell Wells, Amy Mitchell Jarboe, Sara Elizabeth Logsdon, David Matthew Logsdon, Taylor Elizabeth Mahlinger and Mackenzie Lee Mahlinger; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Harreld of Hammond, IN, and one brother, Milton and his wife Ruth Gough of Owensboro; also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, and after 10:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 910 Booth Avenue, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
