Mary Lynn Maglinger

Mary Lynn Tromly Maglinger, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1951, in Daviess County, to the late Aubrey Tromly and Elizabeth Clark Tromly.

She attended Owensboro Senior High School and married Danny Keith Maglinger. Mary Lynn worked for many years as a nurse at the former Owensboro Hospital.

For over a decade Mary Lynn visited California regularly to visit and take care of her grandchildren Emma and Izzi. Mary Lynn was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and active with the OWLs and the Owensboro Senior Center. She was a fierce competitor in bowling, bunko, and bingo, and loved to play Scrabble with her father-in-law Fred Maglinger Jr. and her sister-in-law Amy Richard.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Danny Keith Maglinger Sr.; her twin brother, David Tromly; her brothers, AC Tromly and Tommy Tromly; and her sister, Dorothy Ann Fleischmann.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Danny "Keith" Maglinger Jr. and wife Charlotte of Grapevine, TX; daughter, Laura Jane Kessner and husband Darren of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Alice Maglinger, Emma Kessner, and Izzi Kessner; sisters, Susan Jones and Julie Wheatley; sisters-in-law, Amy Richard, Peggy Duncan, and Karen Tromly; brother-in-law, Gene Fleischmann; and many other nephews, nieces, and cousins. 

The funeral service for Mary Lynn Maglinger will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday June 16, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service on Sunday. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery.
