Mary Francis Klausing

October 27, 1919 — April 15, 2001

Sister Mary Francis Klausing, 82, of Owensboro, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Carmel Home Convent. The Louisville native was a retired administrator of Homes for the Aged and Nursing Homes and served the congregation in religious formation. She was a member of the Carmelite Sisters of the Devine Heart of Jesus and enjoyed spiritual reading, prayer, and adoration of Jesus in the blessed sacrament. She enjoyed people, particulary children, playing cards and bingo.

Survivors include three brothers, Richard Klausing, Robert Klausing, and John Klausing all of Louisville; a sister, Irene Lally of Louisville; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are 2 P.M. Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at the Carmelite Sisters' Provincial Motherhouse in St Louis. Burial will be in the Sisters' Cemetery in Kirkwood, MO. Visitation is from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the Carmel Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday in the Carmel Home Chapel.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Holy Masses, the Carmel Home in Owensboro, or to the Carmelite Sisters, D.H.J.
