Mary Lee Stewart Jones

Mary Lee Stewart Jones, 91 of 825 Eastwood Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late Llewellyn & Nannie Marie White Stewart. She retired from the General Electric Co. after 33 years and was a member of Dawson Baptist Church. She graduated from Cumberland College in 1932. She loved reading & gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Jones in January 1959, a son, Vernon Ray Jones in December, 2003, two brothers, W. David Stewart & Joseph M. Stewart, and two sisters, Edith M. Watson & Edna S. Stewart.

Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Rebecca J. & James Williams, a son and his wife, David P. & Patricia Jones, all of Owensboro, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Head Jones of Clyde, Oh., 10 grandchildren, Pam Ring, Kim Payne, Susan Sweeney, Kristin Howard, Jason Jones, Mitchell Jones, Michael Jones, Meghan Halcomb, Drew Williams, Jamie Williams, and 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
