Mary Lou Thompson Jolly

Mary Lou Thompson Jolly, 72, of Owensboro, Kentucky went to be with her Lord on September 14, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She had been a member of Cloverport Baptist Church for 35 years after which she became an active member of Owensboro Gospel Kingdom Church. Mary Lou graduated as Valedictorian from Fredrick Fraize High School, loved animals, enjoyed gospel music, read her bible everyday, and was devoted to her family and the Lord. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Robert Lewis Jolly; her parents, Lester O. Thompson and Gertrude Embry Siebert; and a grandson, Joshua A. Miller.

Survivors include her sons, Clyde Allen Miller and his wife Karen of Philpot, Steven Miller of Owensboro, and Earl F. Miller, Jr. of Philpot; daughters, Sherry Hamilton and her husband Tim of Lexington and Suzanne Porter and her husband Michael of Falls of Rough; grandchildren, Dr. Dustin T. Hamilton of Louisville, Misty J. Eisiminger of Lawrenceburg, Dr. Ryan M. Porter of Boston, MA, Travis R. Porter of Birmingham, AL, Angie Denise Miller, Clyde Allen Miller Jr. and Jeremy Scott Miller all of Owensboro and Dylan Miller of Philpot; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Lester Mac Thompson of Vero Beach, FL and Harry E. Thompson of Evansville, IN.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after noon on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
