Mary Charlesetta Howard

Charlesetta Chunk Roby Howard, 85, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Leisure Years Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A life-long native of Knottsville, Mrs. Howard was born October 17, 1918 to the late Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Aull Roby. She was a member of the St. William Catholic Church and was retired from the Knottsville Personal Care Home where she worked as an aid. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Howard in 1982; and two daughters, Dorothy Howard in 1982 and Georgia Lindsey in 1972.

She is survived by two sons, Charles J. Charlie Joe Howard of Knottsville and Thomas Tommy V. Howard of Owensboro; six daughters, Mary Ann Howard of Knottsville, Ruthie Payne, Nancy Greathouse, Freda Rhodes and LaDonna Shrewsberry, all of Owensboro, and Vicki Wright of Whitesville; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Friday at St. William Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. until noon Friday, where prayers will be said at 6:30 Thursday.
