Mary Frances Hopper

Mary Frances Hopper, 84, of 2017 York Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her home. She was born in Woodburn, Ky. on December 28, 1924 to the late Roy E. and Mary Ellen Noel Moore. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and was a homemaker and had worked many years ago for Southern Bell Telephone Co. She enjoyed playing bridge, was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, was a very loving mother and grandmother and totally devoted to her family and loved to spend as much time as she could with them.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Hopper, Jr. on May 30, 2006.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Steve M. Hopper and wife May of Chevy Chase, MD and Dr. David W. Hopper and wife Becky of Danville, KY, a daughter Cheryl Ann Van Waes and husband Steve of Columbia, MO, four grandchildren, Jad Hopper of Chevy Chase, Jason Hopper and Michael Hopper, both of Danville, and Leah Van Waes of Columbia, and a brother Guy E. Moore of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday and after 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
