Mary Ellen Fulkerson Higdon

Mary Ellen Higdon, 89, of 10 West Ninth St, Owensboro, died Saturday, July 21, 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Tuck native retired after 42 years as a beautician and was a member of St Stephen Cathedral.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph C. Higdon; four sons, Charles A. ''Tony'' Higdon and John W. Higdon both of Owensboro, William Frederick Higdon of Murfreesboro, TN, and Marion L. Higdon of Island; two daughters, Mary Joellen Ivey and Mary Helena Schultz both of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Lorenzia Fulkerson of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 10 A.M. Tuesday at St Stephen Cathedral with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M., Monday, July 23 and after 8:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 24. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
