Mary Virginia Hicks
January 8, 1909 — May 24, 2001
Mrs. Mary Virginia Haynes Hicks, 92, of 2321 Fairway Dr., Owensboro, died Thursday, May 24, 2001 at her home. The Stanley native was a homemaker and member of teh Whitesville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Hicks in 1969 and a daughter, Sierra Hicks in 1956.
Survivors include three sons, Archie Hicks and Otis Hicks both of Owensboro, and Calvin ''Cal'' Hicks of Jacksonville, AL; two daughters, Theresa ''Pat'' Allen of Owensboro and Marianna ''Polly'' Buckles of Henderson; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 27, 2001 at the Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M., Saturday and after 12 noon on Sunday.
Expressions of sympathy shouldd take the form of contributions to the Whitesville Baptist Church.
