Mary Ruth Heavrin

Mary Ruth Dolly Heavrin, 79 of the Bishop Soenneker Home died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Ohio County on February 18, 1926 to the late marian L. and Mary Ruth Smith Heavrin, Miss. Heavrin worked at General Electric before traveling the United States 20 years as a portrait photographer and managed a rest home in Mineral Spring, NC before retiring. She lived in Mineral Spring until moving to the Bishop Soenneker Home. She loved animals and reading.

She is survived by a close friend (who was like a sister), Mabel Hancock of Mineral Spring, and her Bishop Soenneker family.

Service are 1 P.M. Tuesday at the Bishop Soenneker Home with burial to follow in St. William Cemetery.
