Mary Kathryn Luttrell Heady

Mary Kathryn Luttrell Heady, 90, of Maceo, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. Born December 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Amanda Sandefur Luttrell; worked in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital for 18 years; and was a member of Maceo United Methodist Church. Mrs. Heady enjoyed gardening, canning and caring for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Heady in 2001; a daughter, Patsy Huckleberry in 2001; and a son, Jimmy Heady in 2010.

He is survived by her children; Rev. David (Judy) Heady, Sr. of Haiti, Paul W. (Lisa) Heady of Owensboro, and Linda Heady of Owensboro; grandchildren, Cindy (Mike) Hamilton, David (Becky) Heady, Jr., Lee (Angie) Huckleberry, Chad (Crystal) Heady, Clint (Deborah) Heady, and Kathy Huckleberry (Tim Shortt) ; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. David Heady, Sr. officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday.
