Mary B. Head

Mary B. Bea Head, 74, of 405 E. 3rd. St., Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at her home. She was born in Cloverport to the late Henry Paul & Genevieve Weatherholt Ballman. She was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed needlepointing and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Marie Nix in 1969, four sisters, Agatha A. Pate in 1959, Alice Marie Davidson in 1992, Frances Isom in 1994, and Susie Pate in 1999, two brothers, Henry P. Ballman, Jr. in 1974 and John Ballman in 1993, and a grandson, Nicholas R. Nix in 1978.

Surviving are four sons, Dennis Nix of Grand Rivers, Ky., Danny W. Nix of Rockport, Tx., Charles & his wife Cherill Nix of Utica, and Billy & his wife Christina Nix of Owensboro, two daughters, Susie Johnson of Rockport, Tx. and Donna C. & her husband Harold Clawson of Owensboro, a sister, Rose Brown of Louisville, 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 8:30 A.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
