Mary Margaret Haywood, 87, of Owensboro, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 24, 1921 to the late Joseph and Mary Bumm Goetz in Daviess County. She retired from GE after 42 years of service.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 46 years, Charles Haywood, her nieces, Linda Goetz Vowels of Owensboro, Stella Sigler of Owensboro, and Shelia Gulsby of Utica, her nephews, Jerry Goetz of Newburg, IN, Mike Goetz of Owensboro, and Martin Ray Goetz of Hartford; several other nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews; her step-son, Charles E. Haywood of Owensboro.
Services will be 12:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
