Mary Ellen Ford Hamilton

Mary Ellen Ford Hamilton, 73, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was a native of Ohio County, born to the late Walter and Mary (Jewell) Ford. Mary was a homemaker and a volunteer foster grandmother for Audubon Area at Estes Elementary School. She loved children, and was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and a sister.
Surviving is her husband of 31 years, Charles Hamilton, sons, James William (Season) Barnett, Kenneth (Tammy) Barnett, daughters, Katherine Rice, Linda Roberts, Connie Barnett, Mary Dean, and a step-son Charles Patrick (Sherry) Hamilton Jr., all of Owensboro, and an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
