Mary T. Grigsby, 86, of Philpot, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born on April 18, 1939, in Daviess County to the late Ronald and Opal Eunice Thomas Quinn.
Mary was a homemaker and a wonderful mother to her two boys, Rick and Danny, and she also loved her many grandchildren with all her heart. Mary also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time being a mamaw to her 27 grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Denver Grigsby; a son, Danny (Tammy) Grigsby; and siblings, Betty Devins, Donnie Quinn, Chuck Quinn, Dorothy Ensor, Shyrl McDonald, and Bobby Quinn.
Mary is survived by her son, Rick (Laura) Grigsby; grandchildren, Katie Jo (Brian) Anderson, Danielle (Ron) Johnson, Jessica Grigsby, Brandon (Angie) Grigsby, Denver (Jo Beth) Grigsby; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kelsey, Braxton, Tyren, Dakota, Brody, Gabriella, Dani, Jax, Jase, Gannon, Gatlin, Oliver, Lucy, and Austin; great-great grandchildren, Carter, Koa, Koast, Kove, Kysier, O’mari, and Oakleigh; siblings, Joyce Pearl, Billy Quinn, Joe (Judy) Quinn, and Gene Quinn; a special friend, George Paulin; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mary will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until time of the service on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mary will be truly missed by all her large family and many friends.
