Mary Rebecca Goff

Mary Rebecca Millay Rea Goff, 86, of 828 Eastwood Drive, Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born January 14, 1920, to the late Marshall and Jessie Abel Millay in Daviess County. She was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and had been a hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and liked to go fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Goff in 1979, her daughters, Martha Jean Goff in 1952 and Pamala Ann Daugherty in 1996.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Goff and his wife, Sherleye of Sorgho, William Goff and his wife, Faye of Marietta, GA, Richard Goff and his wife, Sara of Ft. Worth, TX, and Patrick Goff and his wife, Lorena of Owensboro;one son-in-law, Donald R. Daugherty; sixteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Delphine Moore of Owensboro.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, with prayers beginning at 6:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation Friday will be after 8:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Passionist Nuns Monastery, 8564 Crisp Road, Whitesville, KY 42378, or the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
