Mary Watha Snyder Dodson Godfrey, 83, of Naples, FL died Friday, September 19, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 13, 1920 in Rome, KY to Loubelle and Wathen Synder and raised in St. Joseph, KY. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard L. Dodson; grandsons, Thomas Tabone and Matthew Dodson; two brothers, Hubert and Joe Snyder; three sisters, Eva Mae Snyder, Martha Ann Swift and Doris Puckett; and a son-in-law DeWitt Foster.

She is survived by her husband, Irving G, Godfrey; her children, Jan (Mike) Tabone of Naples, FL, June Foster of Miami, FL, Joan (Gene) Sullivan of Margate, FL, and Jerry (Diane) Dodson of St Joseph, KY; a sister, Patty Beeker; grandchildren, Jennifer Ostrowski, Lisa Erd, Tracy (Robert) Gooden, Lori (Tom) Elsbree, David Sims, Jeff (Vida) Sims, Kevin (his fiance Kim) Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Eric Ostrowski, Max Erd, Sarah and Matthew Gooden, Brett, Blake, Sami, and Brad Elsbree, Justin Sims, and Daniella Sims.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, September 26, 2003 at St Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph with burial in St. Raphael Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Glenn Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday, where prayers will be said at 6:30 P.M. There will no visitation prior to the service.
