Mary Angela Glover, 67, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, January 12 at Ohio County Hospital. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Homer Austin and Cynthia Mae Vick.
Mary was a hairdresser who ran her own shop for many years. She was also a creative and gifted artist who was passionate about animals. Her many pets included dogs, cats, horses and squirrels.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Austin Vick in 2011; sisters, Delores Winters, Norma Hoover, Patsy Cravens and Teresa Dutschke; and a step-daughter, Tina.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Danny G. Glover; a daughter, Carmen Gilbert (Todd) of Platte City, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Tammy Vick of Louisville, Kentucky; step-children, Cheryl Glover, Gerald Glover (Crystal), Robert Glover, Ricky and Gina, all of Owensboro; a brother, Jack Vick (Rosalind) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Savannah, Austin, Rachel and Dylan Gilbert, Kayla Shinkle (Devin) and Whitney Vick; great-grandchildren, Noah and Addie; step grandchildren, Courtney, Michelle, Emma, Colby, Zachary, Danielle, T.J. and Lucas; and several step great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Thursday, January 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The committal service and burial will be at 2:30 PM Thursday at Union Ridge Cemetery in Penrod, Kentucky.
