Mary Sue Kessinger Frank

Mary Sue Kessinger Frank, 64, of Owensboro, passed away, Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Hopedale, IL on June 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucille Huffman Kessinger; was a homemaker, and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Hubert Phelps and Kenneth Frank; children, Kathy Higdon, Ricky Phelps, and Debbie Brooks; and step-children, Rethal Phelps, Roy Phelps, and Shirley Fay Stader; a great-grand-daughter, Jacklynn Smith; a sister, Betty Lou Kessinger; a brother, Carroll Dean Kessinger; and half-brothers, Stiley Kessinger, R.C. Kessinger, and Gova Kessinger.

She is survived by sons, Carroll L. Phelps and Richard Phelps of Owensboro and Larry Phelps of Calhoun; a daughter, Mary Stewart of Rosine; step-children, Eddie Phelps, Jerry Lee Phelps, Carolyn Johnson, and Janie Mae Phelps; 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patsy L. Kessinger of Hopedale, IL.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009 at Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dale Calloway officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home.
