Sister Mary Cabrini Foushee, OSU
Maple Mount — Sister Mary Cabrini Foushee, 85, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died July 27, 2016, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 66th year of religious life. She was a native of Ekron in Meade County.
Sister Mary Cabrini made beautiful quilts and always had a smile for all those she met. She was an educator for 52 years, including as principal and teacher at St. Martin, Rome (1964-70) and St. Peter of Alcantara, Stanley (1970-75). She taught elsewhere in Kentucky and in Nebraska, and served in parish ministry.
Survivors include her sisters Margaret Laverne Fackler of Webster, Therese Frances Knowlton of Hendersonville, N.C., and Mary Martina Brown of Louisville; nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begin Thursday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m.
Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, Owensboro, is in charge of arrangements.
