Mary Cova Carter Fenwick

February 14, 1921 — September 6, 2007

Mary Cova Carter Fenwick, 86, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Baptist South Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Born February 14, 1921 in McLean County, Mrs. Fenwick was the daughter of the late Marion and Golda Evans Carter; retired from J.C Penney Company where she was a seamstress; was a member of St Catherine Catholic Church in Orange Park, FL and was a member of St Stephen Cathedral before moving to Florida; and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lakeshore Chapter 1495. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Fenwick in 1985, daughter, Helen Marie Carden, two sisters, Retha Galloway, Iena Leisure and one brother, Thomas Carter.

Survivors include her son, Joseph (and Lois) Fenwick of Orange Park, FL; daughters, Betty Gail (and Art) Richardson and Sheila Jean (and Otis) Miller all of Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great- great-grandchildren ; and four sisters, Labelle Abney, Evalayne Pryor, Margaret Bailey, Wilma Fenwick, and many nieces and nephews.

Services are 10 A.M. Fri, September 14, 2007 at St. Stephen Cathedral with Father John Vaughan officiating followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Thursday, September 13th and after 8:30 A.M. on Friday. Prayers will be said at 5 P.M. on Thursday, September 13th.
