Mary Dorothy Farmer

Mary Dorothy Farmer, 65, of 729 Danberry Street, Owensboro, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at her home. She was born in Evansville, Indiana to the late John Louis and Atric (Bates) Wink. She retired from Gabe's Restaurant after 27 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, formerly of St. Peter of Alcantara Parish, and of the Lady's Auxillary of Disabled American Veterans. She was very family oriented, and involved with her grandchildren , great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Those also preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters; Kenneth Wink, Verna Marie "Sissy" Ashby, Thomas Wink, Ruby A. Lee, John Louis Wink Jr., and Brenda J. Kelly
Surviving are her husband, of 46 years; James M .Farmer, daughter; Rebecca (Blake) Lasher of Owensboro, and grandchildren; Derek W. Collignon, Mary Michelle French, great grandson; Jameson Gregory French, sisters; Sandra E.(Charlie)Posey of Owensboro, and Barbara C. Florence of LaMesa , CA. and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m .Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Brad Whistle officiating. Visitation at Glenn Funeral Home, will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Prayers will be 6 p.m. Tuesday .Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association Memorial Fund.
