Mary Naomi Clark Ebelhar

Mary Naomi Clark Ebelhar, 81, of Sorgho, KY passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on April 8, 1927 in St. Joseph, KY to the late James H. "Peck" Clark and Miriam Merimee Clark. She married Thomas "Hugh" Ebelhar on May 13, 1947. Naomi was a loving mother and grandmother and an inspiration to all. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ebelhar who died on November 10, 1980, two grandsons, Hugh Calhoun, Jr. and Christopher Wimsatt, and her brother, Bobby Clark.

Survivors include six daughters, Connie (Hugh) Calhoun of Cadiz, Mary Ann (Jack) Monarch of Owensboro, Christa (Tony) Hundley of Reed, Joy Wimsatt of Sorgho, and Jan (Ricky) Mullican and Jeannie (Terry) Millay, all of Owensboro; four sons, Tom (Janet) Ebelhar, Alan (Sandy) Ebelhar, and Brent (Judy) Ebelhar, all of Owensboro, and Terry (Sabrina) Ebelhar of Sorgho; 20 grandchildren, Susan Kurtz, LaDonna Sanders, Brian Ebelhar, Sarah Melanson, Holly Ebelhar, Brad Ebelhar, Renee Clark, Jason Hundley, Eric Hundley, Kevin Hundley, Melissa Jarboe, Jeremy Ebelhar, Alexa Ebelhar, Elizabeth Ebelhar, Andy Ebelhar, Crystal Wimsatt, Alison Mullican, Kasey Mullican, Alex Millay, and Laramie Millay; four step-grandchildren, Adam Millay, Jessie Monarch, Jackie Monarch, and Ryan Monarch; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Ferrell of Owensboro and Mildred Calhoun and Patty (Bernard) Beyke, of Sorgho; two brothers, James H. (Martha) Clark, Jr. and Joe Bill (Sherma) Clark, all of Owensboro; and a sister-in-law, Ivy Clark of Owensboro. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and members of the Leo Ebelhar family.

Services are at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Building Fund of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
