Mary Elizabeth Taylor Ebelhar

Mary Elizabeth Taylor Ebelhar, 83, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Wellington Parc. Born in Whitesville on May 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Ethel Carter Taylor; was a member of St Stephen Cathedral; and was retired from the Owensboro Diocese where she was the School Food Service Director for 25 years. Mrs. Ebelhar married her husband, Russell, in 1946 and was a homemaker until her children completed school and she started work for the Diocese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Carol Ebelhar on May 11, 1949.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Russell Ebelhar; sons, Randall Wayne (Melinda) Ebelhar of La Canada, CA, William Russell (Jennifer) Ebelhar of Cinncinati, OH, and Tim L. Ebelhar of Illinois; grandchildren, Bobby Ebelhar, Michael Ebelhar, and Stephen Ebelhar all of California, and Taylor Ann Ebelhar, Leigh Ellis Ebelhar, and CeCe Ebelhar of Ohio; a brother, Wesley Taylor of Owensboro; and a sister, Opel Embry of Lexington.

Memorial mass will be 12 noon, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catjholic Church with Father Brad Whistle and Father Ed Bradley officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, KY 42301.
